Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Condition Guide

 

Near Mint (NM)

 

Near Mint Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards may have some minor imperfections, the card overall will still be in excellent shape condition-wise and will be playable in tournaments. There can be a few flaws including but not limited to:

  • Light edge wear
  • Light scuffing
  • Minor warping
  • Minor corner wear
  • Few nicks or dings
  • Small light impressions
  • Minor factory error print line(s)

Card with more than one of these flaws will be determine as Light Played (LP)

Played (PL)

 

Played cards will have more noticeable or more imperfections, but should still be tournament playable in sleeves. While most items with this condition are not recommended for collectors, they are ideal for players looking for a cheaper option to use in their decks. These flaws can include but are not limited to:

  • Edgewear
  • Scuffing
  • Warping
  • Corner wear
  • Moderate nicks or dings
  • Impressions
  • A very minor crease

Too many of these imperfections will cause a card to be graded Played.

Damaged and Unacceptable Items (Heavy Played HP)

 

We do not buy some items that have too much wear or more severe flaws. This includes but is not limited to the examples below:

  • Creases
  • Excessive edge wear
  • Excessive corner wear
  • Severe Scratches
  • Any water damage
  • Any writing, ink, or other markings
  • Peeling or splitting
  • Cuts or tears
  • Misprints, miscuts, and crimps


 

Pokemon Card Condition Guide

 

Near Mint (NM)

 

Near Mint cards will have some imperfections and show minimal wear but it will be minor, and few in number. These cards can range from 'Mint' to Excellent. Overall these are in excellent or better condition and ideal for a player who wants cards in excellent shape for their decks that are tournament legal. These cards may not be ideal for the "Mint" card collector.

  • A few nicks or dings
  • Light edge wear
  • Light corner wear
  • Minor scratches or scuffs
  • Other minor imperfections

The same applies to Near Mint Holos but they may also be slightly warped due to the materials of the cards.

Card with more than one of these flaws will be determine as Light Played (LP)

Played (PL)
